Bake the best sugar free Banana Muffins
After baking an amazing raspberry dream cake without sugar I tried to make a healthier version of my favourite muffins: Blueberry Muffins.
No sugar! No Butter! And only 110 Kcal for one Muffin! Still, they didn’t taste like some healthy boring treats, they tasted really good!
Ok, yes, I did sprinkle some sugar on top, because I thought they would look prettier this way… But that’s totally optional!
Easy Banana Muffins
110 Kcal for one big, delicious, juicy, fluffy banana and blueberry muffin! Yes, just follow my easy recipe for low-fat and sugar-free blueberry muffins

Ingredients
200 g | flour |
40 g | oats |
16 g | baking powder |
150 g | banana |
30 g | raisins |
2 | eggs |
250 g | fat reduced plain yoghurt |
125 g | blueberries |
Steps of preparation
- Preheat the oven at 180 C.
- If you are using metal muffin tins, put paper tins in them or spray with oil or brush with melted butter, to prevent from sticking.
- Slice the bananas (150g) and chop the raisins.
- If you prefer, you use other dried fruits, like dates or cranberries.
- In a bowl mix the sliced banana, raisins, 2 eggs, 250g of yoghurt and the blueberries (125g).
- Add the dried ingredients: flour (200g), rolled oats (40g) and baking powder (16g) and amalgamate.
- Fill the muffin tins to 3/4 with the dough, it should make 12 regular muffins or 18 small ones.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes at 180C or until golden brown.
- Let them cool down 5 minutes before releasing from the form and then on a cooling rack.
- Enjoy with a glass of cold milk!

My kids don’t like raisins, which I hear is quite common… And I didn’t have any other dried fruits at home, so I used instead 30 g of rice syrup instead. You can also use any sugar substitute of your choice, but make sure it’s ok to bake it!

What is the calorie content for 1 muffin?

If using low fat yogurt and making 12 muffins, one of them has only 120 Kcal.
